The Partners:

Dr. Dave Smits

Dr. Dave Smits was raised on a cattle ranch south of Wiggins, CO. He graduated from Colorado State in 1989, and has been practicing in Fort Morgan since 1993. Dr. Smits enjoys working on both small and large animals, but is especially interested in food animal medicine.

Dr. Adina Walker

Dr. Adina Walker graduated from Kansas State University College of Vet Medicine in 2003. She joined FMVC in July 2005 and became a partner in the practice in October 2008. Her favorite part about working at the clinic is that the variety of species she sees each day means never having two days exactly alike!

Dr. Tiffany McGregor

Dr. Tiffany McGregor grew up in small towns throughout Wyoming, Nebraska, and Colorado. She went to undergraduate in Laramie, WY before veterinary school at Colorado State University. She graduated in May 2014 and started here in July 2014. Dr. McGregor became a partner in the practice in April 2017. She particularly enjoys beef cattle medicine. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family. 

The Associate:

Dr. Heidi Yonkey

Dr. Heidi Yonkey was born and raised on a farm and ranch in Wheeler, Kansas (far NWKS). She received her veterinary degree from Kansas State University in 2020. Before joining our practice, she worked at a mixed-animal clinic in Nebraska. She enjoys working with both small and large animals, but has a special interest in goats and beef production medicine. She owns a small herd of angus cattle that she runs with her father’s herd in Kansas. Dr. Yonkey is also a self-proclaimed crazy cat lady. Her family consists of her two cats, Winter and August, and two horses, Cheyenne and Babe. Dr. Yonkey is very excited to be a part of the Fort Morgan Family and looks forward to meeting all of our small and large animal clients.
